Description:

The Pump Specialist, Mechanical position reports to the Supervisor, Mechanical & Reliability within Midstream’s Center of Excellence group. The focus of the position is to develop, implement, maintain, and manage a comprehensive reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program dealing with rotating equipment across the region. The position will work closely with field-based technicians, supervisors and managers to ensure optimal operation or rotating equipment and to identify and understand any potential poor performing assets. The position provides technical support to field technicians and project engineers.

Responsibilities may include

  • Develop and maintain Machine Health Monitoring programs

  • Driving Condition Monitoring Process, Predictive Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance on all rotating equipment.

  • Striving to reduce MTBR for all rotating equipment.

  • Prioritizing projects based on efficiency data collection and condition monitoring results, forecasting budgets throughout the year.

  • Accountable for accurate data via Equip. Data, Load Sheets, Notifications, PO, WO, PM Orders & Equip. Rebuild Report entry into SAP PM.

  • Participating in Capitol and maintenance budget process. Advising region engineers of potential costs, critical equipment repairs, and maintenance needs and assisting engineers on capital projects and optimization including rotating equipment selection.

  • Scheduling rotating equipment projects with repair organizations & shop locations.

  • Soliciting bids & quotes for rotating equipment and ensuring vendor agreements are fulfilled.

  • Participating in Project Processes (MOC’s, PEP’s, PSSR’s); assisting in field installations.

  • Drive consistency by ensuring adherence to MEPs, TEPs, …

  • Assisting with vendor selection, performance monitoring, metrics review, and issue resolution.

  • Participating member of Midstream’s Rotating Equipment Network Functional Excellence Team.

  • Providing input to maintain standards and best practices (MEPs, TEPs, GPLs, etc.).

  • Training new employees on rotating equipment procedures & best practices.

  • Assisting others with rotating equipment concerns & maintenance.

  • Supporting maintenance of all rotating equipment within the region.

  • Managing Rotating Equipment Projects within the region.

Required Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • 10 years or more of experience with rotating equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting

  • Demonstrated familiarity with API and other specifications and codes dealing with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gear boxes, engines and etc.)

  • Demonstrated mastery of RCFA, Fault Tree or other failure analytics

  • Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level II Vibration Analytics Certification

  • Evaluation and establishment of databases

  • 5 or more year of experience with PI Asset Framework and PI Vision

  • Passion and enthusiasm for the development and management of robust, consistent, and effective reliability programs associated with rotating equipment

  • Superior critical and analytical thinking skills

  • Self-starter capability, ability to work with moderate to minimal supervision

  • Ability to accurately assess workload and properly prioritize tasks

  • Strong sense of curiosity

  • Commitment to a team approach

  • Succinct and accurate communication skills

  • Willingness to actively participate in training and development exercises

  • Ability to interact with field supervision, technicians, and operators
