The Maintenance Pipeliner position based in Casper, Wyoming provides field oversight to region executed capital and expense projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Phillips 66 standards. This position will also assist Operations taking direction from the Area Supervisor when not assigned to project oversight.
Responsibilities may include:
Provides oversight and supervision of construction and maintenance projects to ensure quality and compliance with Phillips 66 Pipeline maintenance and construction standards.
Provides safety and environmental oversight for maintenance and construction work.
Manages consistent implementation of maintenance and integrity procedures and best practices through consultation and interaction with the field maintenance organization, Region Engineering and the Asset Integrity support groups.
Ownership of company and contractor Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements for covered tasks.
Completes air packages for all activities in assigned area.
Coordinates field maintenance and construction activities to ensure compliant, safe and efficient operations. Maintains a good understanding of auxiliary pipeline and terminal equipment.
Minimizes cost and disruption by ensuring downtime opportunities are used to their maximum efficiency and that contractor idle time is avoided.
Provides input for maintenance and construction contractor performance and selection.
Conducts audits to ensure performance of processes and compliance with regulatory and company policy/standards.
Employees must satisfactorily demonstrate their knowledge and command of excavation and construction policies, procedures, and PHMSA requirements.
Perform operational duties with a focus on safety and environmental protection, and in accordance with company standards, procedures and regulatory compliance
Routinely performs line spotting activities within assigned area.
Understand the concepts of operations excellence, integrity and reliability and its application to roles and responsibilities
Monitor and enforce safety policies, best practices and Stop Work expectations.
Trained and qualified to perform LTT on equipment associated with assigned projects.
Work overtime as well as take callouts including weekends
Ensure accurate and timely completion of required paperwork
Respond to emergencies and maintain emergency equipment
Legally authorized to work in job posting country
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license
3 or more years of experience in pipeline construction and/or pipeline operations
Working knowledge of construction safety policies and guidelines
Working knowledge of industry safe work practices
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Able to read and understand related drawings and technical documents
Willing and able to perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to travel up to 50%
5 or more years of experience working in Midstream Operations or Pipeline Construction
Direct employee or contractor supervisory experience
Experience with the Plant Maintenance module of SAP
OQ qualified to perform line spotting activity
Excavation competent person qualified
